Error message
When clicking the Accept button to accept an Autotask ticket, received
The logged in Resource does not have the adequate permissions to update this entity type error message.
Error cause
If the autotask account authorized for MSPbots is a custom API user, it may result in insufficient permissions, and the error may occur. (This would not happen if it is a system-level account.)
How to resolve the error
- Log in to Autotask as an admin.

Hover over , go to Admin > Features & Settings.
- Click Resource/Users(HR) > Security Levels in sequence.
- After locating the authorized account, hover over , then select Edit.
- Click OK.
- Click Service Desk and set the following fields for Tickets:
- View - set to All
- Add - set to Yes
- Edit - set to Yes

Delete - set to All
- Click Save.
