1. When authorizing Slack integrations, you need to select the correct workspace. However, in Teams, you can directly log in to authorize Teams integration.
This is because the user structure in Slack is different from Teams.
- In Slack, users can belong to different workspaces. If the same account exists in multiple workspaces, the account in each workspace is considered separate for MSPbots.
- If a Slack user needs to switch workspaces,
- Need to remove MSPbots from the previous workspace.
- Disconnect the authorized slack integration.
- Reauthorize the slack integration and select the current workspace.
- If a Slack user needs to switch workspaces,
- Teams are not affected by workspaces.
2. The message editor in Slack supports fewer formatting options compared to Teams.
This is because Slack uses its unique Markdown syntax, while Teams supports HTML formatting.
- In the Alert block of Bots' message editor, Slack does not allow setting fonts, colors, or inserting images directly in the rich text editor. In Slack, only bold, italics, and strikethrough are supported, and images need to be added as hyperlinks to be displayed.
- Teams' message editor offers more formatting options, such as bold, italics, underline, strikethrough, align left, align center, align right, etc. Additionally, images can be directly pasted into the message editor to be displayed.
3. For now, you can't accept the next ticket in Slack, but you can do so in Teams.
We are working on developing the Accept feature for Slack and will support it soon. Please stay tuned.
