You need to be assigned a role before using MSPbots and its apps, dashboards, features, and settings. Roles provide users with access to relevant information while ensuring the privacy and security of confidential data.
Here are the different roles that you can assign to company members.
Role | Description |

Admin |
The Admin or Administrator role has overall administrative rights on the MSPbots app. Admins can perform operations and edit settings within the app but do not necessarily have access to financial assets. Admins are in charge of assigning roles to other users. The admin is the only role that can add and modify integrations. |
Attendance Only | The Attendance Only role only gives access to specific Attendance Manager assets and dashboards within the Assets Scope set in Role Management. |
AI Admin |

AI User |
The AI User roles can view content and settings in AI apps, and provide feedback on the AI analysis results. |
AI Trial |
The AI Trial role can:

Billing Only | The Billing Only role can view all dashboards and access the billing page. |
Bot Only |
The Bots Only role can perform the following bot-related tasks: Create, clone, edit, and share bots |
Dashboard Only | The Dashboard Only role only gives access to specific dashboards within the Assets Scope set in Role Management. When users with the Dashboard Only role access the MSPbots, the page they enter is the MSPbots Client Portal page, as shown in the sample screenshot below. |
Financial |
The Financial role gives MSPbots users access to accounting mapping, financial assets, and widgets and dashboards on financials. This role is assigned to users whose accounting software, like Xero and Quickbooks, is integrated with the MSPbots app. Users with the Financial role can assign the financial role to other users. |
N-able Benchmarking | The N-able Benchmarking role has access to the N-able Benchmarking app and related assets only. |
NextTicket Only | The NextTIcket Only role gives users access to their next ticket in the NextTicket portal. |
Peer Group | The Peer Group role has access to specific KPIs and benchmarking assets for peer groups. |
User |
The User is the default role for MSPbots users. This role has full read permission for the basic assets and features within the MSPbots app. This role cannot edit settings and perform operations reserved for Admins. |
Restricted Viewer |
The Restricted Viewer role doesn't have any asset permissions. When users with the Restricted Viewer role access the MSPbots app, they only see the Dashboards and Reports tabs and cannot view any dashboards, reports, or other assets, as shown in the sample screenshot below. |
Role assignment is done in the User Management section of the MSPbots app. Please refer to the article User Management for help with assigning roles.
To use the AI apps, users must have either the AI admin or AI user role. The AI admin role is only available to existing admin users. Both roles are free and can be assigned to unlimited users within a tenant.
