The MSPbots Client Portal page is where clients access published reports. You can customize this portal to reflect your brand and grant view access to specific clients.
Prerequisites
- Users need dashboard permissions to view the dashboards.
- Only administrators can edit the Client Portal settings and grant access to dashboards.
- This information applies to ConnectWise and Autotask users.
How dashboards users log in to the Client Portal
- Go to https://portal.mspbots.ai/portal.
- Enter your Client Portal login credentials and click Sign In.
If you forgot your password,
- Enter your email address on the Client Portal login page and click the Forgot your password? link.
- In the Forgot Password window, enter your email and click the Send Password Reset Link.
- Open the email and click the provided link to reset your password.
- In the Create New Password window, enter your New Password and re-enter it in the Confirm Password field.
- Click Reset Password.
- Log in to the Client Portal using your new password.
How to add a client to Client Portal Management
- Open the MSPbots app and navigate to Settings > Client Portal Management.
- On the MSPbots AI page, hover over the Settings icon and select Client Portal Management.
- When the Client Portal Management screen appears, click the New button to display the New Client window.
- In the New Client window, provide the client’s Email Address. This email has to match the client’s email address in the Connectwise or Autotask contacts. The First Name, Last Name, and Display Name fields are automatically populated.
- Next, enter the Password and retype it to confirm.
- Then select the reports you want to share with the new client. Only the selected dashboards will be accessible to this user.
For now, the app does not automatically send emails to clients. You can test the login from an incognito browser to ensure the reports work properly. - Click Confirm to save the setting.

You can now send the login information to your client. You may use the following template in your correspondence with the client:

How to modify a client’s information
- On the MSPbots page, hover over the Settings icon and select Client Portal Management.
- When the Client Portal Management screen appears, click the Edit button corresponding to the client whose information needs to be modified.
- When the Edit Client window appears, modify the information that needs to be changed or updated.
- Click Confirm to save your modification.

How to customize the Client Portal according to your brand
- On the Client Management Portal, click the Settings icon and select Customize Your Brand.
- Configure the Portal Header. Start by selecting the Background Color for the Portal Header. This step will modify the color of the bar on top of the page, which is blue by default.
- Next is to modify the Header Height according to your preference. Use the up and down buttons to adjust the thickness of the portal header.
- Then customize the Header LOGO by clicking the Upload button to upload your logo to the portal header.
- Next, scroll down on the page and configure the Portal Title. Click the Title switch to enable setting the title.
- Enter a name for the Title and set its font color by clicking the button with a wand.
- Select a color and click OK.
- Next, set the Portal Brand Image and click the Upload button to upload a background image. The image should have 1200 x 310 pixels and could be in JPG, PDF, or PNG file format.
- Click the Brand Logo switch to enable setting the logo.
- Click the Upload button to upload your company logo. Use an image that is square and has a transparent background.

You can also adjust the placement of the Portal Title by selecting a location represented by the dots.

- Next, configure the Portal Body by selecting a Background Color. Click the button with a wand to show the available colors.
- When you're done customizing, scroll up the page and click Save.
- Click Reset if you want to change or undo your modifications.
How to present dashboards in the Client Portal
- On the MSPbots app menu, go to Settings > Client Portal Management.
- When the MSPbots Client Portal page appears, open the dashboard you want to present.
- Next, hover over the Presentation icon in the upper-right corner of the dashboard's screen and select a presentation mode.
To present one dashboard, select Single Dashboard.
To present multiple, rotating dashboards:- Select Rotate Dashboards.
- Click the +New button in the Presentation Management window.
- Next, select the dashboards you want to present and click Add when your selection is complete.
- Review the Dashboard List. You can click the delete icon to remove a dashboard from the list.
- Click Save when done. The Presentation Management window should now show your presentation like below.
To preview the presentation, click the Presentation name.
Hover over the icons and click the corresponding icon for editing, copying, and deleting a presentation.
- Select Rotate Dashboards.
Known Issues and Future Improvement
You cannot add a client with an existing MSPbots account. For this requirement, please email support@mspbots.ai so we can add it manually.
