The communication between MSPbots and Continuum integration is achieved by authenticating Continuum to MSPbots. The following steps are to connect Continuum to MSPbots.
How to Integrate Continuum with MSPbots
1. Create the API key in Command.
- Log in to your Command account.
- Click the Admin link at the top of the page.
- Click the Integration tab, then the Reporting API link.
- Generate the API key and take note of it.
If you have previously created a key, a masked key will be shown. See if you can find the old key and use it. Generating a new key will deactivate the old one and may cause issues with other apps that are using it. If you must regenerate a new key, save the new one in a safe space and make sure to apply it to the other apps.
2. Apply the API key to MSPbots.
- Log in to the MSPbots app and navigate to Integrations on the menu.
- Search for Continuum and click it to open the connection settings.
- Enter the API details in the API Key field.
- Click Save and Sync.
- When Success appears, the connection to Continuum with MSPbots is successful.
How to test the connection to verify if the setup is successful
The datasets and gauges are immediately added to your account, and then sync begins. The initial synchronization usually takes 20-30 minutes to complete.
