TruPeer Smart Numbers provides a centralized, visual representation of your company's data and performance indicators. Business owners, service managers, and other stakeholders can refer to the TruPeer dashboards and widgets to gain real-time insights for informed decision-making, thorough performance evaluation, and timely action-taking.
The TruPeer Smart Numbers is designed for TruMethods users and works on the following Professional Services Automation (PSA) and software:

Why should I use TruPeer Smart Numbers?
TruPeer Smart Numbers helps you formulate data-driven decisions and level up toward business goals with the following features:
- Dashboards with real-time insights on leadership, service delivery, and your MSP's financial health
- Accounting mapping feature that automatically feeds data like net profit, net MRR, and service revenue into the dashboard for easy monitoring
- Customizable settings that allow for including or excluding data from the reports automatically
- Adjustable settings like the number of associates and owner's drawdowns monthly
Prerequisites
- TruPeer Smart Numbers is available to TruMethods users with ConnectWise PSA, Autotask, and Kaseya BMS.
- You need the admin and financial roles and permissions to modify the dashboard settings. Watch the video TruPeer Smart Numbers App - Assigning User Role for help with assigning the roles.
- Your accounting software must be mapped to MSPbots before you can use the financial dashboard. You can read the article How to Access and Use the Accounting Mapping Feature for instructions on how to map your software.
What are the dashboards in TruPeer Smart Numbers?
You can open TruPeer Smart Numbers on the MSPbots app by going to Apps on the menu and selecting TruPeer Smart Numbers on the Apps tab.
These are the dashboards available in the app:
TruPeer Leadership Dashboard
The TruPeer Leadership Dashboard contains Support, Centralized Services, Technical Alignment, and Projects data useful to leadership in the MSP business. The Support section shows weekly and monthly data for response and resolution times, and support tickets created, closed, and open for more than five (5) days.
The Centralized Services section lets you monitor centralized service tickets created in the previous month, managed endpoints, monthly alarms, and patch management data for servers and workstations.
The widgets under Technical Alignment show the number of clients with active managed service agreements, managed endpoints from the PSA or RMM device, and technical alignment tickets created and worked on during the previous month.
The Projects widgets, on the other hand, show the estimated profit from the categorized projects completed in the previous month, the number of open projects that are not past due, and the projects past their due dates.

To access the Leadership Dashboard from the TruPeer Smart Numbers Welcome Page, navigate to Dashboards and select TruPeer Leadership Dashboard.
TruPeer Service Delivery Dashboard
The TruPeer Service Delivery Dashboard contains Support, Centralized Services, and Technical Alignment data useful for improving service delivery in MSPs. The widgets in the Support section show support tickets created and closed during the previous week, and tickets responded to and resolved on the same day.
The section Centralized Services shows widgets for the number of centralized services created in the previous week, the count of endpoints managed by the PSA or RMM, and the number of alarms created in the previous week. It also shows the average patch compliance of servers and workstations.
The Technical Alignment section shows the counts of technical alignment tickets created and completed in the previous month, the total hours spent on these tickers per endpoint, and the total number of managed clients with agreements and endpoints managed from PSA configurations and RMM devices.

To access the Service Delivery Dashboard from the TruPeer Smart Numbers Welcome Page, navigate to Dashboards and select TruPeer Service Delivery Dashboard.
TruPeer Smart Numbers - Financial Dashboard
The TruPeer Smart Numbers - Financial Dashboard provides data for net Profit, percent of Revenue, and Leverage data on average MRR and ORR, service revenue, and all-in-seat price for the previous quarter.
On the same dashboard are key Sales data, such as new and lost MRR with ORR contracts, net MRR gained contracts, and percentage of sales calls closed. This section includes Revenue and Expenses by Account Category and financial details from the mapped account.
To access the Financial Dashboard from the TruPeer Smart Numbers Welcome Page, navigate to Dashboards and select TruPeer Smart Numbers - Financial Dashboard.
These are the financial widgets with descriptions and information on their calculations.

How to start using TruPeer Smart Numbers
TruPeer Smart Numbers comes with your MSPbots app. After connecting your PSA and software to MSPbots, configure the settings, validate the dashboard data, and you're ready to start your TruPeer experience!
1. Connect your PSAs and software to MSPbots
TruPeer Smart Numbers works on the following PSAs and software. Select your PSAs and software from the table for a guide on connecting these to MSPbots.

2. Map your chart of Accounts through the Accounting Mapping Feature
- Map TruMethods WC to MSPbots.
- Navigate to Settings > Accounting Mapping in the MSPbots app.
- In the Accounting Dashboard, select your accounting software in the first dropdown menu, and select Profit & Loss Statement or Balance Sheet in the next menu.
- Go to the Map to section and select TruMethods WC to map it to MSPbots.
This mapping will be the basis for calculating Revenue, Expenses, and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) in the Financial Dashboard.

- Navigate to Settings > Accounting Mapping in the MSPbots app.
3. Configure the settings.
After successfully connecting your PSAs, open TruPeer Smart Numbers and configure the following settings:
A. TruPeer Smart Number Settings
These settings affect the values in the Leadership and Service Delivery dashboards.
- Hover over Settings and select TruPeer Smart Number Settings.
- When the TruPeer Smart Number Settings tab opens, select options for each setting based on your requirements.

Support Settings
- Board | Queue - Select the boards you want to include in the dashboard data.
- Excluded Ticket Status - Select the Ticket Status that should be excluded.
- Include All Agreement Types / Contract Categories - Enable this option and select the Agreement Type for inclusion from the dashboard.
Modifying these settings affects the widgets in the Support sections of the Leadership and Service Delivery dashboards.

Centralized Services Settings
- Board | Queue - Select the boards you want to include in the dashboard data.
- Excluded Ticket Status - Select the Ticket Status that should be excluded.

Technician Settings
- Support Title / Work Role - Select the titles and roles for inclusion in the dashboard's data.
- Holiday / PTO Work Type - Select the work types that should be factored into the data.
Modifying these settings affects the Service Delivery Dashboard widgets containing the word "technician" in the widget name.

Alerts / Alarms - Select options for the following areas to include in the dashboard data. These settings affect the data in the Service Delivery dashboard.

- Include All Boards / Queues
- Include All Ticket Types
- Include All Company Types / Classifications
Modifying these settings affects the Service Delivery and Leadership Dashboard widgets having the word "alarm" in the widget name.

Endpoints - Select the data Source for your dashboard.
If you select PSA,
- Select a Configuration Type and Configuration Status from the dropdown lists.
- Enable the following switches as needed.

Include all configurations regardless of the company type / classification

Include all configurations regardless of the agreement type / contract category

Specify configuration types for seats
Users can specify the configuration types for PSA devices to be categorized as endpoints and seats. If the Specify configuration types for seats switch is turned off, all selected PSA configuration types will be included in the count for both endpoints and seats, resulting in identical counts for endpoints and seats.

- Enable the Specify device types for managed endpoints and seats switch.
Users can specify the device types for RMM devices to be categorized as endpoints and seats. If the switch is turned off, all RMM devices, regardless of their device type, will be included in the count for both endpoints and seats, resulting in identical counts for endpoints and seats. - Select the Managed Endpoints and Seats from the corresponding dropdown lists.
- Enable the Specify device types for managed endpoints and seats switch.

7. Managed Service Clients - Select specific types for the following:

Modifying these settings affects the Managed Service clients widgets in the Technical Alignment sections of the Service Delivery and Leadership dashboards.

- Click Submit to save.
B. TruPeer Drawdowns Entry Form
The TruPeer Drawdowns Entry Form allows you to factor the business owner's drawdowns into the dashboard's data. Drawdowns affect the value in the Net Profit % - Before Owners Comp widget on the Financial dashboard.
To set and modify drawdowns:
- Go to the TruPeers Settings and select TruPeer Drawdowns Entry Form.
- Click +New.
- Enter the total drawdowns for each month.
- Click Add.
The monthly drawdown amounts submitted using this form will replace the total financial accounts mapped under the Owner's Salary in the TruMethods WC Financial Mapping.
C. TruPeer Sales, Associates, and Seats Entry Form
The TruPeers Sales, Associates, and Seats Entry Form factors the following data into the financial dashboard.
- Year and month
- Dials
- First appointments
- New arrangements/contracts
- Associates
- Technical associates
- Seats
To add new data:
- Click the +New button.
- Enter values in the fields, and click Add.
To edit or delete entries, click the Edit or Delete link under the Operations column.
D. QuickBooks Desktop Class Settings
By default, the Accounting Dashboard in the Account Mapping section includes revenues and expenses from all classes in QuickBooks Desktop. You can modify this setting and customize data on the Financial Dashboard by excluding specific QuickBooks classes.
To exclude QuickBooks classes:
- Go to Settings > QuickBooks Desktop Class Settings.
- Disable the Include all classes switch.
- Select the class for exclusion from the Exclude Class dropdown list.
- Click Submit.
3. Validate your TruPeer data.
After configuring the settings, validate the data on your reports with the following steps:
- Open the TruPeer Smart Numbers.

Hover over Dashboards and select a dashboard.

Review the dashboard data and check if the values are correct and presented according to your requirements. If not, review and adjust your configurations in Settings using the procedure in Step 2 above.
Do these steps for the Leadership, Service Delivery, and Financial dashboards. - To validate account mapping, check if the Profit, Leverage, Revenue, and Sales details in the Financial Dashboard are correct. The data from accounting mapping should be shown in these widgets.
