The Batch Deletion feature in the MSPbots app enables users to remove multiple assets simultaneously. This function simplifies asset maintenance by allowing you to delete unused assets at once rather than individually. It is accessible in various app sections, including Dashboards, Datasets, Reports, Scorecards, Slicers, and Widgets.
This article shows how to perform batch deletion for the different MSPbots assets. Deleted assets cannot be recovered. Please use this function carefully.
Prerequisites
Only the Admin and Best Practice roles with the Batch Delete Custom permission can use the Batch Deletion feature.
How to delete multiple assets in a batch
The following steps use Reports to demonstrate how to delete multiple assets. To delete other asset types, go to Dashboards, Datasets, Scorecards, Slicers, or Widgets.
- Go to Reports in the MSPbots app and click the Batch Deletion button.
- Select the reports you would like to delete.
- Click Delete. This will show a list of the selected reports for deletion.
- Review the list and click the red Delete button at the bottom of the list to proceed to deletion.
If an asset should not be on the list, click the X mark beside it, then click Delete.
Which assets cannot be deleted?
You cannot delete the following:
- Assets that are linked to other assets. You must first remove the dependency before deleting one of the linked assets.
- Assets for which you don't have permission to batch delete. Ensure that you have the proper permissions before attempting to delete any assets.
