Selecting the right package can make all the difference in how MSPbots can help achieve your business goals. This guide shows the steps for customizing and upgrading your A La Carte, StartUp, or Professional plans, including information on adjusting license allocation and coupon usage during an upgrade.
Prerequisites
You need admin permissions to view and modify your company's billing and purchase plan information.
Customizing your purchase plan
- Log in to the MSPbots app and go to MarketPlace.
- Click the Upgrade button for your current plan.
- In the Customize Purchase Plan window, select your preferred options for the following:
- Bundle Type - Select A la Carte, Startup, or Professional.
- Contract Length - Select Monthly or Annual.

Billing Frequency
- Pay Monthly - This option is also available when the Contract Length is Annual.
- Pay Annually - Get a 15% discount when selecting this option.
- Select your options for your chosen bundle type.

Select BI package(s) and your PSA from the following dropdown lists:

Selecting the ConnectWise Manage - API BI package will give you access to the assets and data of ConnectWise Manage - API and ConnectWise Manage - SQL.
On the other hand, if you select the ConnectWise Manage - API BI and ConnectWise Manage - SQL BI packages, you will have access to the assets and data of both ConnectWise Manage - API and ConnectWise Manage - SQL.
Meanwhile, opting for the ConnectWise Manage - SQL BI package will grant you access to ConnectWise Manage - SQL assets and data only.

Go over the license types and indicate the number of seats you wish to purchase.

The values indicated in the spin boxes corresponding to the products are the minimum number of users with assigned licenses for each add-on. You can reduce the number of seats down to the minimum value in the spin boxes only. If the value is greater than your required number of licenses, follow the instructions for adjusting license allocation.

A la Carte subscribers who previously purchased admin seats but have not purchased a BI package must select a BI package before they can upgrade and proceed to checkout.
Similarly, trial users purchasing admin user licenses must purchase a BI package with the admin seats to proceed to checkout and complete their upgrade successfully.

- Go to the BI Package List section and click the +Add link.

Select a BI package from the BI Package List dropdown menu.
Please note that the Startup Bundle can only have 4 integrations. If you want to add more than 4 integrations, you can upgrade to the Professional Bundle, which has unlimited integrations.
Selecting the ConnectWise Manage - API BI package will give you access to the assets and data of ConnectWise Manage - API and ConnectWise Manage - SQL.

Next, go to the Add-on section and add or remove seats for the following users:

Selected bundle - Startup Bundle
Selected contract length - Monthly
Selected billing frequency - Pay Monthly
Number of users - 14
The Startup Bundle gives access to up to 10 users. Because the number of users in the example is more than 10, you must purchase four slots for the additional users.
Calculation:
Total Cost = Startup Bundle ($800) + Extra users x cost per user (4 x $80 = $320)
= $800 + $320
= $1120 (The Total Cost excludes any applicable state sales tax.)
The Startup Bundles also include the BI packages you selected. You can change this selection later. At checkout, your order summary will display the applicable sales tax, calculated based on your state's tax rate. Tax will be applied when specific conditions are met.
5. Next, verify the information in the Billing Address section. If you need to update the details, click Edit, do the necessary updates, and click Save & Continue. Refer to How to Manage your Billing Address for more information.
6. Next, go to the Payment Method section, review your payment details, and Save your modifications. You can read How to Manage your Payment Method for more information.
7. Navigate to the Plan Summary section and review the details.
8. (Optional) If you have a coupon, enter the Coupon Code and click Apply.
Clicking Apply after entering the coupon code will automatically display the discount. You can also use multiple coupons, as long as all coupons are valid. For more actions on coupons, you can refer to the section on Other information on coupons.
9. Click Next: Review when done.
10. Review the details in the Review Order window. Once you confirm the order is correct, click Pay Now.
11. The message Payment Successful appears to indicate that your payment is complete and successful.
12. Lastly, verify your upgrade and customization. Go to the Billing page or click Billing Overview from the Payment Successful window.
- The Your Bundles section should show your updated plan, and the Bundles Usage tab should also show the updated list of Assets, Quantity, and the Next Billing date.
- To verify your upgrade, you can also go to the Bundles section on the Marketplace where a CURRENT PLAN button should now appear under your chosen bundle.
Adjusting license allocation
You can reduce the number of seats down to the minimum value indicated in the spin boxes only. If the value is more than your required number of licenses, follow these instructions to adjust the allocation of licenses:
For Next Ticket, Attendance, and Bots only, go to Settings > Assign License in Next Ticket, Attendance, or Bots in the MSPbots app.
For Bundle User and Admin User, go to User Management in the MSPbots app and adjust the allocation of licenses for purchase.
Examples:
- If you set 3 Admin Users, the minimum number of Admin Users is three (3). If you need less, adjust the license allocation in User Management.
- If your company has 15 members and the package includes 10 users, the minimum number of Bundle Users should be 15. If you want to reduce this minimum, go to the MSPbots User Management and decrease the number of users in your company.
Other information on coupons
How to delete a coupon
- Click the Delete icon next to the coupon code.
- Click Delete to confirm deletion.
Messages when deleting coupons
- Two coupons of the same type should not be passed
When you apply a coupon and the message Two coupons of the same type should not be passed appears, you can delete the last coupon you added first, then add the coupon you are currently trying to apply.
- Subscription[coupon]: Coupon cannot be applied as it is not applicable to any of the items
When you apply a coupon and the message subscription[coupon]: Coupon cannot be applied as it is not applicable to any of the items appears, you can delete the invalid coupon.
